Official Hurricane Taste Tester and Friends
Well it started out as an innocent Birthday night to celebrate my ummmm 37th birthday. After a couple of beers the bartender suggested we try the HURRICANE!!! Okay, sounds like fun! So we did. Ummmm let's just say it went down like Hawaiin Punch and so did my friend Michelle. I'm still cleaning the bathroom! Michelle you owe me! I'd do this drink again, but definitely in moderation! It sneaks up on you!

i'm from new orleans and was raised on hurricanes. i moved to new york for college and these yankees can't handle more than a few.... you think this is bad a block of ice and a couple bottles of bourbon is a great party punch. and in all due fareness, i can't drink even more than one martini. but a hurricane is way better to raise a growing boy on than koolaide.

I used the 1 shot of everything receipe called for and found it a little strong so I modified it in the following way: followed receipe and added Capt. Morgan and up pineapple juice to 4 oz, blended all with 1 cup ice and YUM!
Passion fruit juice?
I want to make Hurricanes for a Mardi Gras party in Pennsylvania. Where does one find passion fruit juice? Do regular grocery stores carry it? Wish I could be drinkin'the real thing in the Big Easy!

Pat O's has great hurricanes but does anyone know how to make a hurricane like the ones from Lafitte's Blacksmith Shop on Bourbon St? The used light and dark rum but what else?
