Blended

Try this drink blended with about 1 part ice per every 1 part of vodka... Makes for a nice texture and a good sipping drink with a little less kick.

Vodka Gimlet Heaven
By Kettle Gimlet!

Sometimes the simple things in life are the most rewarding. Vodka gimlets are a true pleasure. Not intended to be a "party" drink to get you trashed as fast/cheaply as possible (you can stick with those Ice Ts for that), the vodka gimlet will be a drink to spend quality time with. Don't forget to add a slice of fresh lime to take the taste to the next level, and the sugar is truely optional. Enjoy!

A Touch of Class
By Val

The Vodka Gimlet is my favorite before-dinner cocktail. You MUST insist on top-shelf vodka, though, to ensure that the fresh, clean lime taste isn't obscured by cheap alcohol overtones.

It's not even worth making this drink!

It took longer to make then to drink. I guess it is a sipping drink though, 2 sips and you're done!

There's an easier way
By Grinoliere

Use 1 oz Roses lime juice instead of the fresh lime juice and powdered sugar. Roses is sweetened and very very nice. Add a splash of 7 up, sprite, or tonic water. This is a drink to have when the company you keep is more important than just getting trashed.

They're the best!
By Pinky & Phil

We've had vodka gimlets as an anniversary toast (and other special occasions) for 53 years. Rose's Lime Juice and a good vodka is the way to go, but add a green (never red) Maraschino cherry for appearance and a bit more sweetness!!! Mmmm MMMmm

" Best drink for a stormy night"
By Allie

I have such a fear of stormy weather. I used to hide inside my closet and shake. That is until I discovered how quiet a storm can be after a few Vodka Gimlets. Now I stand outdide the closet and say, "Cheers!"

Best Gimlets
By 80's man

These are great, but only if done right. Your recipe is fair at best. The only way to make good Gimlets is buy Stolichnaya, put it in the freezer, and add Rose's Lime Juice to taste. You and your friends shuld go through a bottle in no time.

Best...Drink....Ever I don't understand why anyone says you shouldn't drink Vodka Gimlets if you want to get trashed. Frankly, they're good for any occasion.

Vodka Gimlet
By mike

The key is quality vodka: Kettle One, Three Olives or Grey Goose and the most important aspect is that it must be shaken, not stirred.

Usually my idea of a mixed drink is a Ketel One martini (i.e., vodka and olives). Had some "Nellie and Joe's" Key lime juice in the fridge and Ketel One in the freezer, so... Very good!

Polish Stiff Gimlet

A fine drink to be consumed at any time. I enjoy mine made with Rose's Lime Juice, ice & Wodka Wyborowa.

Using what you got
By Luke

I read this recipe as it was one of the first in the list but had no lime juice. I did have lemon juice however and it made for a great substitute. Absolute vodka worked well here seeing as how this drink came out pretty good.

Great Drink

First, it doesn't make a huge difference about what king of vodka is used; its all just grain alchohol cut in half with water. Second, useing Roses instead of sugar and lime juice is much better, and adding a slice of lime really makes it better. Make sure to pour it into a frozen glass, and very cold. I have found a three-to-one gimlet to be the very best mixture, and shake the drink until your fingers stick to the shaker, that way you know it is cold enough.

Having a gimlet as I type

It is a wonderful libation and one that reminds us all of the two important things in life, fun and love. Rose's is a must, and for the moment mine is mixed with Citadel gin. a fine concoction

Turpentine? Windex?

This was the grossest, most toxic shit I ever tried to add to my face. A shitty waste of 1.5 oz of vodka.

EWWWW YUCKKKK

Again, the powdered sugar! What's with that? When mixed with regular sugar you've got a great drink. Powdered sugar just leaves a nasty aftertaste when mixed in drinks. Of course, it is still a matter of taste for each person.

Yummy Yummy in my Tummy

I love Kettle One and Belvedere so honestly, the lime juice ruins the drink. But for those less respectful of the taste for fine vodka, drink the Gimlets but dont eat the Giblets!
