I like my lime margaritas two ways, and they're both a little weird. I mix the triple sec and tequila with lime AND lemon juice (equal parts of the lime/lemon juice) and then I add salt to the mix (yes, salt in the liquor, weird, I know). Then I pour the mixture into an ice cube tray and freeze it (couple of hours). One ice cube tray holds enough for about 1 drink (but I do like mine big!). When the margarita cubes are frozen, they crush SO easily (because of the liquor). I salt my glass as said above, and pour the mix in, garnish it with a lime/lemon twist. The other way I drink it is simple: shake all the ingredients in a standard shaker with regular ice cubes (not crushed) and drink the mix on the rocks, but then I guess it wouldn't be frozen, huh? :)

Frozen and lime ... the ONLY way to make a Margarita. Goes especially well with HOT Mexican or TexMex foods. But watch out for the "Brain Freeze" effect!

Tequilla is my drink of choice and I have had quite alot of it in my day. Straingt shot with beer chaser is the best.This is an awesome margaritta mix a friend of mine turned me on to in 1993. The very best ever.
2 oz tequilla
2 oz Sweet and Sour Mix
1 oz Triplesec
1 oz Rose's brand concentrated lime juice
1 oz fresh oarnge juice
Blend with ice serve in salted margaritta glass.

what's a triple sec???
im from the philippines and im a newbie(obviously) in mixing....please help me....what's triple sec?? any brand? where can i buy it
Triple Sec
Triple Sec is an orange flavored liqeur that's about 30 proof. You can probably get it at any liquor store.
