my 21 birthday

Turning 21 of course was a big deal. I saw this site and the drink and ordered it. It was good it just tasted right with the amount of tequila and juice it had.

I first tried this drink in mexico on a booze cruise. I was absolutely addicted! I looked up the recipe the first thing when I got home. I like to add more grenadine, it just makes it a little sweeter. :)

Tequila sunrise, a classic, a must. If it's made the right way, it's fantastic, and gets you on the good mood. (Best one I've ever tasted was made in Cyprus by the owner(?) of the Touch wood pub, Limassol. One drink, and we were bunch of giggling girls and had lots of fun) Otherwise, it can dissapoint you. But I recommend to try it several times before you judge it.

Tequila sunrises are good, but only if you add a shot of triple sec, it balances out the flavor, I guess it gets you smashed faster too, but that's a side note

If your Tequila tasted like piss you need a better brand of it. I know it's sad, but the more expensive the tequila, the smoother. If your cool dropping 45 bucks on a bottle of tequila, go with Cabo Wabo(if you can find it) and no matter what your mixing, if it tastes like shit it ain't the tequila's fault. If you can't find Cabo, go for Corazon, most places have that. Warning, once you try Cabo, Corazon, or Patron, Cuervo WILL taste like monkey piss.

I agree with adding tripple sec, but also add an ounce or two of vodka and you'll have an awesome Harry Sunrise. I discovered this drink in college and loved it ever since. However, if you aren't a tequilla person, you probably won't like it.

Chill drink

This is one of those drinks you make like 20 of and stick them in a cooler and head to the beach and watch the sunset with a group of friends or that special someone. It's a chill ass drink

Tequilla is one of my favorite drinks. If you want a sweeter drink try it with sunny D I made it once when i didn't have oj its really pretty good. There are a few different falvors of sunny D so you can experiment and se whats better for you.

Excuse me, but how the hell old are you people drinking these cocktails? If you still drink "Sunny D" in any fashion you probably shouldn't be drinking alcohol. I also hope you didn't ruin a good tequila by mixing it with this stuff. Do you also like to throw down kool-aid with vodka, or jello shooters perhaps? Mmmm-good. If you want to get drunk fast, buy a cheap bottle of everclear and have at it. Forget the cocktails altogether, my friends.

I love tequila sunrise's!! But if you want to kick it up a little just add a shot of either rasberry cruizen rum or mango cruizen rum. Although you can add them both and it is awesome as well. Enjoy your drinks anyway you like but trust me try it. Another mix that my friends and I make (dosent have a name for it) is mt. dew jack daniels and redbull. It taste great and will make for a great night!!!! Take care all have fun and be careful.

Why would your children be purusing a cocktail site and evaluating the quality of various liquors? Seriously, WTF? The thought of you having children is what's frightening. I love sipping a chilled reposado and I love margaritas on ice, but the TS is a great switch up from time to time. I definitely have one if I've recently made some fresh squeezed orange juice. I like just a dash of grenandine and also a dash of Cointreau or Grand Marnier.

You people are a trip....This drink is my favorite because i love Tequila....I do agree about adding grenadine to it....I use Cuervo but recently at a bar they gave me a shot of clear Tequila and oh my god it went down so smooth like i couldnt taste it and i cant find it anywhere or know what it's called. Any ideas???? By the way, If i even catch my child on the computer much less this site, that will be her a** as long as she is in my house.

Having chosen this drink a number of times, and also, having made it when I work behind the bar.. I've come up with an alteration you might like. 1 shot Tequila 1/2 shot Amaretto 1/2 shot Triple Sec Fill with Orange juice, splash grenadine, splash sprite. It's not too sweet with the Amaretto, and it gives it a little punch. Try it!!
