Ecto cooler

I can't stand the taste of alcohol and a midori sour is the only thing that is palatable to me. It's inevitable someone will ask what it is, so i've began to say it's ecto cooler and vodka...I get some strange faces, but it's always a conversation starter. (and "ecto cooler" weeds out those who are too old, and those who are too young)

I think this is my absolute favorite drink. It's just the right amount of sweetness & sourness & this is a great drink for anyone that doesn't like too much of an alcohol taste. You can barely taste the alcohol in it, & it's very easy to get hooked on. Try it out! =)

The first few reviews are hilarious...All girls saying they like the taste...OF COURSE THEY DO. THIS IS THE #1 DRINK FOR GIRLS WHO JUST MOVED ON FROM BARTLES & JAMES WINE COOLERS. This drink is good. It definitely is a chick drink. I was drinking one in a club, and some of my girlfriends weren't drinking because they don't like the strong alcohol taste, but after alot of convincing they all tasted mine and wanted one for themselves!

It's ture a midori sour wont get most guys trashed, but it's nice to find a drink every once in a while that you like simply because of the taste. If you have a sweet tooth like me and you want to up the ante a little I would also suggest an irish car bomb.

I think that a bartender can mix this drink together the best, but I am getting better. This is my favorite drink. I recommend adding some peach schnapps for a pleasant twist on an old favorite.

This is really a great drink, Try adding a shot of rum to it and you still can still barely taste the alcohol in it and it gives you a little more of buzz. Even if you don't have a sweet tooth (like me) this is still a great drink!!!

Chick drink.

Did anybody notice how all the people who said this drink was good were women, save for the dude who said he liked putting it on his balls? Because it is a womans drink, it tastes good, and took me like 4 before I even felt a buzz. Its too sweet, but great for dudes who wanna get laid and need to buy the girl a drink.

Is it Apple or Lime?

When I first drank this at a bar I was trying to figure out if it was a green apple or lime taste. One of my friends ordered a crushed midori sour for me cuz she knew I liked something where I can't taste the alcohol and that is sweet. Give it a try, it's not a strong drink at all.

I absolutely love midori sour. I have had bad experiences with bartenders that suck making it though. Some don't even know what I'm talking about. Five Spot in Old City, Philly makes a damn good Midori sour though. Just keep trying to find the right bartender to make it.

I was introduced to Midori Sour 22 years ago when a waitress at a Sheraton Hotel restaurant was taking our drink orders. I ordered a ginger ale because I've never liked the taste of alcohol. When the waitress heard my reason for ordering a soft drink, and after my date kiddingly said I was a "cheap" date, the waitress proposed that I try a M.S. I did, and I've been ordering it when I'm out on the town ever since. Years ago, most bartenders didn't even know what I was talking about. Now (2004), I have no problem, but some do make it better than others.

IF you ever go to the culture club in NYC ask for the "Madonna", thats what they call their midori sours. Best drink in the place.

I had one

I had one last night for the first time, and I'm a guy. I will admit it is defintely a girl drink, but if you just want something that taste good then you will want this one. I was with some girls who had never drank before, but they kept sipping on mine. It taste like candy, but I think a Rum and Coke taste like candy too.

I really love this drink. I tried it on my 21st bday and I order it everytime I go out. It is definately good if you like sweet, fruity drinks where you can't taste the alcohol. Fuzzy navels, amaretto sours, and malibu pineapples are also good.

Hey, for everyone who can't read a bottle and can't figure out whether it's apple or lime; it's neither: It's called "Midori melon liqueur". I can't drink anything where I can taste the alcohol, so this drink is perfect! Blended with pineapple chunks and ice is best.

I am a female, and you know what I like this drink... only because I dont go out to clubs or bars to get drunk or laid. I go out to have a good time with my friends. I am not much of a soda drinker, and I dont want to spend all night drinking water. I like a little variety. I am usually the one driving my friends home, so it might not give me a buzz but I prefer not to be sloshing around making an ass out of my self. I can drink almost any drink put in front of me, but this would be by far my favorite. Most chicks hate the after taste of alcohol, or the bad breath it leaves. Guys are different their breath smells like ass anyways... either from beer or something with rum in it so of course they wouldn't really like this drink.

I use to be a vodka drinker, but after getting sick from it's way too strong taste, I experimented with mixed drinks. For a good buzz that doesn't taste like rubbing alcohol, a Midori Sour rocks!!! what up well the way i make my madori is...i pour 1/2 madori 1/2 the sour stuff and then i get pinapple in a can and pur the juice in there.BLEND IT WITH LIKE 8 CUBES MIX IT AND IT TASTE HELLA GOOD. iM NOT REALLY INTO DRINKIN BUT, IT WAS INTORDUCED TO ME LIKE 2 MONTHS AGO. Midori's Recipe

Right on the bottle of Midori it had a recipe book that stated the recipe for Midori Sour is 1 part Midori to 2 parts Sweet and Sour mix. I find this is an excellent ratio for this drink and I can drink it all night! I first had it in Hawaii for $1.00 a drink and was hooked. (I, too, can't stand the taste of alcohol.)

Honestly this is one of the few drinks I have come across that you can literally drink all night and not have a pounding hangover the next day. It tastes good if you don't mind sweet drinks, but extra cherries go great with it. Some bar automatically blend it so be sure to tell them on the rocks!

sweet & sour mix is usually corn syrup, lemon flavor, and lots of preservatives. gross. make your own by mixing fresh lemon juice and sugar to taste. add that to midori & you'll have a much better midori sour.
