Quality drink. They call it a sexual alligator here in Florida though, or maybe I was just drunk.

Slightly different version

Basically the same stuff. In Maryland, we call it Sexy Green Alligator. In a martini glass, start with Chambord, then layer Midori, then top with Jagermeister. Looks good and tastes good.

What ever you do don't take a small sip, just take it all at once. It goes down smooth and taste good.

The drink I had called this wasn't layered. It was all a pretty green and tasted even better than it looked.

Variation of Midouri and Pineapple

I HAD THIS DRINK OR SOMETHING VERY SIMILAR LAST WEEK ABOARD THE MISSIPPI QUEEN PADDLE BOAT ON THE OHIO RIVER. I KNOW IT CONTAINED MIDORI, PINEAPPLE, SOUR MIX AND I SUSPECT ONE OTHER THING. IT WAS TRULY WONDERFUL. I WOULD LOVE TO GET THE EXACT RECIPE FOR THIS DRINK.

Actual Recipie (Maryland Version)

Here it is: Start with a chilled martini glass. Fill a shaker with ice, and mix equal parts of Midori (DeKuyper melon is what I use) and sweet & sour mix. Strain into martini glass. Pour in 1/2 oz Chambord(or DeKuyper Razzmatazz), which will sink to the bottom. Float Jagermeister on top. Viola! Since my bar doesn't have Jagermeister, I have modified the recipie and used Galliano or Sambuca instead and have had a positive feedback among my fellow employees. It doesn't look as cool because they are not at all dark like the Jagermeister, and therefore, you really can't see the top layer, but it does work to an extent. Follow these instructions, and it will layer wonderfully.

At home we make it like this... midori mixed with pineapple juice, shaken and chilled chambourd on the bottom jagermeister(chilled of course) on the top.

My sister jsut turned 21 and we went to 6 bars and noone makes the shot right - they can't layer - my suggestion (I made it at home for her) upside down spoon layers awesome - only really tastes right layered!!!!! PINEAPPLE GROSSSSSS!!! Who would do that

its actuall made better when u shake medori with pineapple juice then strained into martini, then gently pour dekuyper razzmatazz on the edge of the martini so that it lingers at the bottom and the float the jager...its that way and no other...its called sex with an aligator...the concept...u try having sex with an aligator yet?

Layering

A tip for layering is to get metal nozzles for the top of the bottles. On the side is a small air-trap, which you can put your thumb over. Push the tip of the nozzle against the side of the glass and release the alcohol slowly. Works beautifully for most things. If it's an awkward thing you're trying to layer (like Cointreau or Galliano) then you can turn the shot glass slowly while you're doing it.

While the alligator is not my favorite animal, sex is always good, so what the hell?

in florida it's called either sex with an alligator or sexual alligator depending on what bar you are at. this is my favorite shot and you must use chambord and jagger. once i had one with razzmatazz and captain morgan tattoo and it was disgusting, just stick with the chambord and jagger and it will be amazing

Jager, melon Liquor, Curaco, Parrot Bay, Pineapple Juice. I am not sure how these all get layerd but I do know that its really good and so far there is only one place I have found that can do it right.
